Each stage at Pitch™ is a space of its own — purposefully designed by renowned curators across the globe, with world-class sound systems and structures considerate of the surrounding landscape. Together, they form the physical and sonic architecture of the weekend.

Pitch One

Drawing on it’s brutalist lineage, this year’s Pitch One stage design features a procession of blade-like planes and apertures that hold space for sound. Designers Alterplace have created a structure that is neither facade nor backdrop. It considers absence as much as presence, creating a threshold where light, sound, and bodies gather within a constructed void. Complemented by lighting design from Phase 3 Concepts, whose work spans 20 Years of Pryda with Eric Prydz, Seismic Festival, The Wool Store and more, prepare for a dancefloor experience unlike any Pitch One that has stood before. Paying homage to Pitch’s mountainous backdrop, the design geometry reflects the fractured, stacked, and grounded forms of the Grampians. Speaker arrays will inhabit it’s negative space, fusing architecture and sound into a unified mass. Designed for disassembly, the materials have been carefully selected for purposeful reuse, ensuring the stage lives beyond its ninth iteration.

Pitch Black

Pitch Black has solidified its identity throughout each iteration of Pitch, known as a space fostering sonic discovery and movement, while honouring the surrounding Grampians landscape. A reimagined take on the iconic 2020 Pitch Black stage for our ninth iteration and complete with a FunktionOne sound system, renowned designers TOR Studio harness inspiration from Berlin’s underground, as well as structures reminiscent of historic amphitheatres. The result is a dual-level scaffold stage that offers both intimate experiences within the club and connection to collective movement en masse. Pitch Black is for celebrating the euphoria of daytime at Pitch while preserving the industrial edge that defines the night.
